Continental Divide Trail Alliance, Pine, Colorado - AN AMERICAN LEGACY - In 1978, Congress made a monumental decision, one that secured the future of the most scenic, wild and remote landscapes in America. They designated the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT), also known as the "King of Trails". The Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) Card ($3.00/one year or $12.00/five year) was established to allow those who use Colorado's backcountry to contribute to the fund, even if they don't have a current hunting or fishing license, snowmobile, ATV, or boat registration, all of which contribute to the fund through a 25 cent surcharge.
